DESCRIPTION:Whitchurch League of Friends meet Author Ruthie Lockyer for an evening of “suspense and impending disaster” \nIn 1957\, The Reverend John Lockyer left Liverpool dock on RMS Hildebrand III with his wife and eight-year-old daughter\, Ruthie\, bound for Antigua to begin work as a Methodist Missionary. Disaster stuck when the liner ran aground off the coast of Portugal. DESCRIPTION:The League of Friends have teamed up with Swimfinity to bring you this year’s open water swim fundraiser – The Mere Mile.\n\n\nTo raise vital funds for the benefit of the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital we have teamed up with Swimfinity to host our second open water swim at Ellesmere’s Mere. \nIf you fancy a challenge you can sign up as a swimmer and take on a 1 mile or 2.5 mile open water swim or simply come along\, enjoy the day and cheer our swimmers on Mere side! \nFor further information and to sign up to take part please email – rjah.communityfundraising@nhs.net. \nEntry fees: \n1 mile – £10 \n2.5 miles – £25

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 60’s themed ‘Festival on the Field’ at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital.\n\n\nJoin us for a 60’s themed ‘Festival on the Field’ at The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital. \nOn Saturday 7th August we are hosting a fantastically fun 60’s themed ‘Festival on the Field’ to mark 100 years of our much-loved hospital\, The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic\, and 60 years of The League of Friends. \nJoin us as we celebrate these significant milestones and honor the work of our incredible frontline NHS staff. \nThe daytime will host a family-friendly event involving live music\, craft stalls\, food and drink and children’s entertainment.
