Staunch supporters Annie Curran and Carol Aldridge have walked 200 miles to raise over £1,000 for The League of Friends to RJAH.

Great friends, Annie and Carol trod with purpose on their weekly walks together, as well as with friends and family to notch up 200 miles.  Whilst enjoying keeping fit they have raised a total tipping over£1,000 in aid of The League of Friends to The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry.

As former patients and volunteers, Annie and Carol have first-hand experience of the hospital.  When they set themselves a goal to complete 200 walking miles they were delighted to raise over £1,000 following response from supporters of The League of Friends to RJAH.

“We were overwhelmed by support for our walking plan,” says Carol, “we really appreciate everyone’s donations.”

“We sincerely thank Annie and Carol for their determination and generosity.  It is very rewarding to hear how their own positive experiences as in-patients inspired them to dedicate their walks to fundraising for The League of Friends to RJAH,” says Victoria Sugden, Charity Director. “The funds raised by Annie and Carol will continue to support the provision of facilities for patients and staff at the Hospital.”
